First African Conference on Precision Agriculture (AfCPA 2020) Announced for 8-10 December 2020

AfCPA 2020 is organized by the African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) in partnership with the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA).

Benguérir, Morocco —  4 June, 2020 — The African Plant Nutrition Institute has announced a new conference designed to connect precision agriculture science and practice under the theme of putting Precision Agriculture in Action for Africa.” The conference will be held in Marrakesh, Morocco and the host site venue will be the campus at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) in Ben Guerir. The conference dates are 8-10 December, 2020.

Designed to meet the challenges anticipated by Covid-19, the event will be uniquely structured as a one conference, multiple site format that will deliver:

  • multiple concurrent tracks conducted at the host site at UM6P.
  • a main program simulcast to a network of satellite sites throughout Africa aimed at maximizing access to content and networking.
  • a fully online experience that will provide real-time opportunities to connect, learn and engage with other participants.

Currently the satellite sites (updated as of June 23) include: Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso; Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire; Cairo, Egypt; Nairobi, Kenya; Kenitra, Morocco; Ibadan, Nigeria; Lomé, Togo; and Tunis, Tunisia.

Registration and abstract submissions will open in mid June. Additional details about the host conference program, and details for each satellite site will be published as they become available at the conference website  – www.PAafrica.org.
