e-Learning Course: 4R Nutrient Stewardship for Africa

E-Learning Short Course on 4R Nutrient Stewardship Now Available

Through the support provided by the 4R Solution Project, a new short course is being offered to extension agents, agricultural practitioners, and anyone with an interest in learning more about principles and practices associated with the 4R Nutrient Stewardship in Africa.

Briefly, 4R Nutrient Stewardship practices are designed to provide plants with the Right Source of nutrients, at the Right Rate, Right Time, and Right Place. Balancing each of these “Rights” will help to ensure that plants have access to proper nutrition throughout their growing season, which will generate profitable yields and prevent soil nutrient depletion and minimize environmental harm.

The e-learning course focuses on the 4R framework and highlights examples of best nutrient management practices for Africa.

The accompanying course materials are based upon the newly released 4R Nutrient Stewardship Guidebook comprised of four individual learning modules dedicated to each of the 4Rs.
