APNI Welcomes Dr. Martha Nelima Okumu as Associate Scientist

APNI is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Martha Nelima Okumu, Associate Scientist, to our Nairobi, Kenya office.

Dr. Martha Nelima Okumu, APNI Associate Scientist

She holds a Ph.D. in Agronomy (Weed Science) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, an M.Sc. in Plant Protection from the University of Pannonia, Hungary, and a B.Sc. in Horticulture from Maseno University, Kenya.

Before joining APNI, Martha worked as a Programme Coordinator for Inter-Congregational Sustainable Agriculture Programme (ICSAP), where she was coordinating sustainable agriculture and livelihoods projects in Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan. She has been working with farmer associations, in research and data analytics, capacity building and resource mobilization. Dr. Nelima Okumu contribution’s will further strengthen the development and implementation gained in APNI’s on-farm experimentation (OFE) initiatives across Africa.
