MOU Signed with ICAR to Promote Soil Health and Climate Resilient Farming
August 5, 2025 – New Delhi – APNI and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in New Delhi to facilitate Global South Cooperation between Moroccan institutions and the Indian National Agricultural Research and Extension Systems (NARES).

The MoU was signed by Dr. M.L. Jat, Secretary, DARE & Director General, ICAR, and Dr. Kaushik Majumdar, Director General, APNI, in the presence of senior ICAR officials.
“We are delighted to have this agreement with ICAR to enable cross learning in many areas of mutual interest including precision plant nutrition for annual and perennial crops, climate resilient agriculture and multifunctional landscapes. The cooperation will strongly focus on capacity strengthening through graduate student and scientist exchanges in emerging areas of sustainable intensification.” – Dr. Kaushik Majumdar.
Dr. Jat highlighted that the partnership will facilitate knowledge exchange, promote capacity building, and encourage innovation in agricultural practices through collaborative research and development efforts.
