APNI Welcomes Ms. Amal Mrhailaf and Dr. William Adzawla
APNI welcomes Ms. Amal Mrhailaf, HR Manager, and Dr. William Adzawla, Scientist, who are joining our offices in Morocco and Ghana, respectively.

Ms. Amal Mrhailaf – HR Manager
Ms. Mrhailaf has joined APNI as HR Manager, based in the Institute’s HQ office. in Benguérir.
Amal holds a B.Sc. in Human Resources Development ’13, and currently pursuing her Master thesis for an M.Sc. in Human Resources Development, both at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane
Prior to joining APNI, Amal occupied the position of Employers Relations Manager at Al Akhawayn University and previously worked as WorkLife Programs Specialist for NA region at IBM.
With a strong passion for HR, Amal thrives in enhancing employee experience by creating inclusive, engaging, and supportive workplace environments that empower individuals to perform at their best.
Dr. William Adzawla, Scientist
Dr. Adzawla, joined APNI as Scientist, based in Ghana.
William is an Agricultural and Climate Change Economist with extensive expertise in policy analysis and socioeconomic research. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Cheikh Anta Diop in Senegal, an MPhil in Agricultural Economics, and a BSc in Agricultural Technology from the University for Development Studies in Ghana.
Before joining APNI, Dr. Adzawla worked with the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), initially as an Economist and later in coordination and broker-lead roles across multiple projects. In addition to contributing to field-level project implementation, he led the development of scientific publications and technical reports, supervised master’s-level research, and supported institutional impact assessments. He has also worked with several research organizations, experiences that collectively strengthened his analytical and research capabilities.
Dr. Adzawla’s research focuses on addressing inequalities and promoting inclusive development through a systems-based approach. His work spans crop productivity and efficiency, climate change and adaptation, technology adoption, gender dynamics, food and nutrition security, poverty, and rural livelihoods.
