Through training programs and educational material development on BMPs the project aims to develop and  transfer knowledge to extension systems and smallholder farmers. This project will be implemented in collaboration with national extension and research institutions, and fertilizer companies, to demonstrate the impact of various components of 4R nutrient stewardship on crop productivity and profits.

Global Objective

Improving the knowledge of farmers and extension agents on the best nutrient management practices based on the 4R nutrien stewardship to increase farmers’ incomes by improving crop production.

Activity 1: Establishment of pilot demonstration trials for learning 4R nutrient stewardship.
