Ms Ann Odero, a Kenyan National, is an Operation Manager at the African Plant Nutrition Institute, East and Southern Region (APNI – ESA) based in Kenya.
She holds Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi in Kenya and a Bachelors of Commerce from Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Ms Odero is a registered public accountant of Kenya having attained her CPA K certification.
Ms Odero is a seasoned finance professional. She previously served with the sub-Saharan Africa Program, International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI SSA) as a Finance and Administration Manager giving oversight to the finance and administration department located in Nairobi. Before joining IPNI she worked as a Finance Manager at Impact Research and Development Organization (IRDO) where she was in charge of the finance department ensuring that the organization complied with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and introduced strong internal control procedures, she was a member of the senior management committee. Ms Odero also worked as an Accountant at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) where she was in charge of the treasury and payments. Ms Odero has also been a part time lecturer in accounting colleges where she gave lectures in financial reporting and auditing.
Ms Odero has a good working knowledge in accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial management, Human Resources management, and office operations. She has been privileged to help develop organization policy and procedures manuals at both IPNI and IRDO. Ms Odero has been audited by PWC, Deloitte and Touche, and Ernst and Young (EY).
